The Eastside Culture Crawl is coming up this weekend! I am both terrified and excited. I have been sick this past week and therefore, have not been able to accomplish much leading up to the crawl, but have learned to accept that this is my first year participating and that it won’t necessarily be what I want it to be. But the one productive thing I have done, and have wanted to do for months, is make/order business cards! I felt like a real adult and a real artist when I received my order in the mail 🙂
Two of my larger paintings were accepted into a juried show, put on by the event, called “Learning to Crawl” (for newbies like myself). The show opened on November 5th and is on display until December 1st at the Firehall Arts Center, located at 280 E. Cordova Street, Vancouver. I will have more paintings, drawings and cards at my studio on display and for sale, along with maybe some photographs. My studio will be open from Thursday November 20 to Sunday November 23 (Thurs&Fri: 5-10; Sat&Sun: 11-6). Last year my studiomate had 500 visitors and we hope for more this year! We are also having “The Cave Studio Opening Party” on Friday evening from 6-10; there will be food, music and fun, and we hope to have many of our friends out to celebrate the Crawl with us (https://www.facebook.com/events/1495779944021055/?ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming&sid_reminder=2351753336274812928).
Please stop by anytime throughout the weekend, at 450 E Hastings St, Vancouver! We would love to meet new people and share our creations with all of you.
P.S.–I’ll try to add photos this week and next of pre and post crawl activities/art.
